The Maltese Archipelago

The Maltese archipelago consists of three inhabited islands, each with its own unique identity. Click on the three colored bars below to expand the accordion and discover detailed information about each island, from the historic cities of the main island to the peaceful landscapes of Gozo and the untouched paradise of Comino.

Malta's smaller sister island (approximately 14 km × 7 km) is more peaceful and unspoiled than Malta. It offers fascinating cultural attractions and, above all, stunning natural scenery along its coastline. Gozo is one of the Mediterranean's most popular destinations for scuba diving.

Located between Malta and Gozo, this island covers less than 3 km² and is home to only two permanent residents. With no shops and no roads, Comino has remained beautifully unspoiled. The famous Blue Lagoon attracts visitors from around the world who come to admire its crystal-clear turquoise waters.

The largest island in the archipelago (approximately 30 km by 15 km), Malta is an open-air museum for culture lovers. It's also the perfect destination for outdoor activities—especially water sports—and offers a vibrant nightlife for those looking to celebrate after sunset.
